Bank of America Sets Up 1-800 Number to Help Nevada

In an unprecendented act of giving, BAC promised to set up a 1-800 number to help struggling homeowners.

“I am glad Bank of America has finally agreed to step up and provide this much-needed assistance,” Senator Reid said. “For many homeowners in Nevada this has been a long time coming. I will continue to keep an eye on the situation to ensure these promises are kept so we can help provide relief for struggling Nevadans.”

Bank of America will ramp up its customer service efforts in Nevada and provide additional resources for homeowners and housing caseworkers. Specifically, Bank of America will:
· Set up a 1-800 hotline exclusively for Nevada homeowners who have a mortgage with Bank of America;
· Open three homeowner resource centers in Henderson, Las Vegas and Reno for customers struggling to keep their homes, and;
· Devote a team of Bank of America loan specialists to work alongside Sen. Reid’s staff on housing casework.
